Betrayed by Blood

I'm the only one of my kind who exists, and the Fates have warned me of what my future holds.

As the daughter of Hades, and the grand-daughter of Dracula . . . I understand fear. After all, my father's the physical embodiment of all things evil. While I've never met my grandfather, it doesn't mean I haven't heard stories.

Ever since I was born I've never been permitted to leave the grounds of the palace, but recently I negotiated with my father. He's since allotted me one trip outside the grounds per week, as long as I go with one of the guards, Brenex. The Fates told me not long ago that I'd have many mates, and that one was someone I knew my entire life. I can't help but think it could be Brenex, though my life is complex.

They told me most fear me because of my bloodline, because I'm a creature that shouldn't exist. Part demi-god, and part something else. Something no one knows. It's made me question whether my father has kept me trapped for my own protection, or is it for his?

There are so many answers I don't yet hold because of it, but I'm certain I'll find the ones I seek. It'll simply happen through baby steps. With one foot in front of the other, I will search out every answer I desire.

Only, I never assumed my father would betray me in the way he has.
