My sister is dead, and it's my fault. Something has to give, or we’re going to lose them all. But no one in power will do something about it. Which means we’ll have to step up and make a change or it won’t happen at all. What do they say about getting something done? The only way is to do it yourself.

Halla is stricken with grief and guilt when her little sister passes away after the attacks. But she doesn’t stay down for long. They lost so many Unnaturals during the attack and Halla is determined to head out and get revenge. It’s the least she can do when no one else is doing anything at all.

Aurelius, Byron, and Greyson are all there for her as they were before. But Damien the demon joins their little group and proves his worth as a member of the team when he sticks by their side and offers to head out to find the monsters with Halla and the crew.

The Council won’t let Halla and her friends go to the Surface. After a fight, the group decides to sneak out, and they make it to the Surface without a hitch. It doesn’t take too long before they find the monsters.
But something is very, very wrong.

Halla and her friends have to head back to The Oasis before a new wave of monsters – bigger and more murderous than before – make it back and kill all her friends and family. They must round up the Unnaturals to stand up for themselves and fight.

When they return home, they are met with the same adversity as before, and it only makes Halla angry. Why will the Council not allow them to fight for their freedom? When Halla is shot down by the very leaders that should protect The Oasis once again, something in Halla snaps, and she knows what needs to be done.

It’s time to take matters into their own hands.
