Danica: Darkness of Winter

When I fell from the stars, I didn’t know what to expect; but it wasn’t running for my life in the darkness of a winter forest.
Out of nowhere, three men appear, coming to my rescue. They offer me sanctuary and tend to my broken wing. Little do I know, they are the very creatures that stalk me. Umbras. Vampires. Yet they stand apart from others of their kind. They were banished by their kin for choosing to feed on animals, rather than people.
Drawn to my celestial light, they tempt me with their alluring embrace. Each of them loves me in ways that make me feel empowered and full of life.
However, my attempts to find peace in their arms are disturbed by haunting visions of a village I have never seen, and the people within, doomed to die. In order to save the village and its untold innocents, I require assistance from these three powerful protectors.
As evil closes in around us, we chance not only our lives but our hearts. I must have faith, that the light inside of me will lead us through the darkness.
