The Magaek Council may be different, but dangers still lurk beyond every corner.

Now that our mate bond is complete, my mates and I are stronger than ever. And as the newest council members, my mates strive to undo all the damage caused by their predecessors—their fathers—starting with repairing tenuous ties with the other realms.

The return of the divine marks the beginning of the Magaek Council’s initiative to unite all of the realms. But when the divine don’t return as planned, the council fears they may have underestimated their ability to convince them that they can sustain peace amongst the realms. Only the mass attack on the students of Marcovian University support that it is not safe in the Magaek Realm.

To earn back the trust of the divine, they must discover who is behind the attack to protect the student body. But things aren’t what they seem. Not everyone is on board with the new council members and are anticipating their immediate failure.

Regardless of the opposition, my mates and I must stand against this new threat while our bonds are tested. I struggle when past feelings of self doubt make me question if I’m worthy of my mates, Drax’s actions have repercussions that threaten his bond with me, Trey fears an inevitable future may affect our relationship, and Wyatt, having discovered balance in his role as proxy, must also find balance in this new dynamic he shares with his bond mates.
