Yet one slip up from a flight of dragons has put everything I care about in peril. With one of my mates clinging to life and the others losing footing without a leader, it's my turn to step up and protect the family I've made. But I'm a newly minted werewolf, an omega, and some of the supernatural community isn't about to listen to me.

Torn between love, duty, and the worry that I might lose it all, I'm still trying to be a mom and keep the rescues that look up to me taken care of. And that's hard to do when my mate's prognosis keeps getting worse.

Life only gets rougher when another flight of dragons fall into my lap. The dragoness alpha leader is against everything I stand for, determined to drag our world into the sight of men and their weapons to satisfy her vengeance. Some of my shifter friends agree with her, putting me in a tricky position. If I give in to their dreams of war, I might lose myself. If I work against them, I might lose everything.

In the end, I know one thing for certain.
