Reckless Fae

Everything hadn't been fixed in Arorial when I became one of the Doconqueh, but the Amaryan mercenaries who'd killed my mother were dead, and I had a sliver of hope.

I made a plan, thinking I could go back to being a princess with power, begin to right the wrongs I'd seen, finally start enacting some real change in the world. However, as soon as I stepped back inside the city walls, rebels at my back, weapons raised, I realized my father hadn't appreciated my little impromptu disappearance at all. Not one bit.

In fact, with all the ruckus going on, I thought he actually might've cared.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

A blur of pain and blackness, punctuated by the chains they'd encased my wings in, made it hard to think, but when I woke up in a freezing prison cell that belonged to a nation I'd only ever heard about, there was no denying my father had been responsible for all of it.

So, what's a fae girl to do when she sees an opportunity to make a break for it?

That's right. Run.

I ran as fast as I could to save the friends he'd stolen from me, vowing to chase him to the ends of the continent with reckless abandon if I had to. He was going to pay for what he'd done to us, to everyone, even if it turned out to be the last thing I did.
