You’re safe here, Emsley…. run for all the right reasons.

King’s right. Arriving in Cedar Mountain should mean we’re safe... it’s where I’m meant to be. To stop running. To breathe. To be me. And it does feel like home, the Alpha and I just have a couple of issues to figure out first. Admittedly, one of them is huge.

My head’s still spinning since I ascended. Life changed between one shift and the next. I haven’t even had time to wash my hair, and now, I have mates and bonds - a future that I only ever dreamed about.

Good news, I’m discovering more about my designation every day. I’m finding my voice, and getting better at standing my ground. I’m quickly figuring out no matter what, I want my tomorrow, with King, Cardell and Gray in it. Dane? Well, I’m working through that too.

Bad news, everyone is impatient and wants something from me. Like the mate who just won't let me go, and the vampire who’s playing both sides of the fence. Plus, remember the witch who originally spelled me? She wants answers.

But when we’re dragged into games that have little to do with me or my designation, I’m starting to wonder if it would be better for us to start running again.
