Mercy is trying to move on after being betrayed and abused by not only the man she loved but also her own family. It isn't easy moving on, and being a school teacher, pretending to be so shy when really she is scared and has lost that independent, self confident woman she used to be. Mercy even raced cars and did crazy stunts for her dad's racing team. All her experience and knowledge remains hidden. Why? Fear.
