Seeing ghosts keeps my social life dead

Being a powerful medium from a long line of Hartwell witches should have made my job of banishing ghosts a piece of cake. But arriving at the scene of tragedies too late to do more than pick up the pieces eats me away inside.

When my monster hunting group picks up a job to check out Sweetbriar Mansion, it should be a milk run. No matter how much the owner talks about the haunted antebellum mansion on social media, it’s never had so much as poltergeist much less anything worse.

Maybe while looking for ghosts in the not-haunted house, I’ll finally get up the courage to make a pass at the men who hunt with me, a gruff wolf shifter and a dhampir with more humor than sense. I’ve already fallen in love with my best friend, ghost of a man I’ve seen since my teen years, what’s two more unrequited crushes?

But when we arrive at the mansion, the paranormal activity is off the charts and all the salt and holy water can’t push it back. Ghosts seep from it’s walls that weren’t there two years ago, and worse, they’re more powerful than they should be. Something dark has come to Sweetbriar Mansion, and if we don’t find out the cause soon, we’ll all be meeting my ghost boyfriend a lot sooner than I planned.
