Spirit doesn’t realise how bad her relationship has become until she goes on holiday with her controlling boyfriend to Melbourne. In one argument, a dream holiday becomes a nightmare. Suddenly alone and without resources in an unfamiliar city, Spirit is struggling to survive.

When Spirit sees a job advert in a shop window, she doesn’t hesitate. She walks in and applies. Organisation and administration is what she used to do for a living before her ex-boyfriend convinced her to quit. Somehow, Spirit needs to work out how to live in this new city where she’s alone and uncertain and this job is the way she can do that.

But Spirit soon discovers she’s not as alone as she thinks she is when she meets six attractive, talented tattoo artists who take a liking to her. Despite her doubts and misgivings, Spirit succumbs to her new life, throwing herself into it with a passion she’s never felt before.

Just when she doesn’t expect it, her ex-boyfriend appears and offers her everything she thought she wanted from him. Now, Spirit has a choice. The life she always thought she wanted. Or the new life she’s built out of desperation and a passionate connection with six men she’s only know for a short time.

It’s not a choice between the heart and the head. At this point, Spirit can’t tell which is which. So, how will she make a choice? And how will she know the choice she makes is the right one?
