Okay, picture this: One day, you're shelving books, minding your own business, and the next, you're told you're the Virgo Zodiac, destined to save... well, everyone. That's my life now. Gin Mae—small-town librarian, suddenly the center of a supernatural crisis I didn't even know existed.

And my protectors? A lineup that sounds like the start of a bad joke: a dragon shifter, a gargoyle, an incubus, and a human veteran who's seen more than his share of battles. Talk about diving headfirst into a world I never knew was right under my nose.

Thrown into this chaos, I've got to navigate this new reality with guys I'm supposed to trust overnight. One's got wings and a temper, another's made of stone but not as tough as he looks, then there's the one who could seduce a statue, and lastly, a hero with scars deeper than mine. We're a mix of oil and water, fire and earth, but somehow, we've got to blend to fight a council that's out for blood—mine, to be precise.

So here I am, the reluctant centerpiece in a fight against a shadowy enemy, with allies who I'm not sure yet I can trust. What if I'm wrong? Wouldn't be the first time...
