My life is the same every day. The only thing that ever really changes is which seasonal latte my customers are clamoring for. That is, until a gorgeous stranger starts to show up every morning, ordering the same thing—triple espresso—and staring at me like he’s trying to memorize my face. I pretend not to notice him, but it’s hard to ignore the only person in this small town who actually sees me.

Still, I tell myself I must be imagining things. Guys like him don’t fall for girls like me.

Then he slides an invitation across the counter as I’m handing him his morning coffee. An invitation to a Halloween party. When I decide to go alone, it's the bravest thing I've ever done. But my night is just getting started.
