My Plan to Escape From Darkness

On March 23, 2027, the Church of the Initiatives will do the bidding of The Being, an evil serpent deity from the Underworld. During the Vernal Equinox, in a ceremony known as The Feast of Saturn, virgin blood will be sacrificed. Opening one of Earth’s three portals to the Underworld, allowing The Being and his Dark Army to enter the skies of North America, bringing death and destruction of biblical proportions.

In 473 BC, in his last attempt to gain control of Earth and its inhabitants, The Being and his Dark Army were defeated and sent back to the Underworld by the Queen of the Aerial Shifters and Elementals. Unfortunately, the Queen, an alicorn shifter, and her consort were killed during the battle. The Being’s sources from the Church of the Initiatives assure him that he will be victorious this time around because there are no alicorns remaining to defeat him.

But what The Being nor anyone else is aware of, except one woman and she is not telling, is that hidden right under their noses is the granddaughter of the alicorn shifter who defeated The Being 2,500 years ago. Even the last know alicorn is unaware of who she is, much less what her role will be in saving our planet. Will she discover her origins before it is too late to save the world?

Hi, I am Ambrosia Suzette Lawson or…uh, Hugh. Whatever, I don’t even want to get into that right now. All I'm thinking of right now is my plan to escape from this stupid, backwater town of Capers Ridge, Tennessee. A plan to get custody of my little sister, Lana, and move to Knoxville to get my degree in Plant Sciences at the University of Tennessee.

Well, that was my plan until Benjamin, Ivan, and Abel moved to town and insist I'm the last known alicorn. They tell me I'm the only one who can stop the Apocalypse from happening. They tell me they are my consort. Whatever the hell that means. My supposed consort members say they will help me defeat said Being and his Dark Army from taking over the world. Those guys are beautiful, but a little off in the head.

I really don’t want to believe them, but strange events begin to unfold as I get closer to my eighteenth birthday on March 23, 2027. Hang on because my senior year is not going as I expected!
