My purpose was to kill, so how did I become a modern-day antihero? I found out the truth; that was how. Despite the benefits, I opted to protect the vulnerable instead of following the rules, so I became the Blood Widow. The city had turned into a poisonous death pit, so I had friends to help me.
My past still haunts my nightmares. It's been years, but I'm still hiding from the scientists who made me because if they ever found me, there is no doubt I'd become the Boogieman again. Controlling and manipulating people is what they do best, which is why I have to keep everyone at arm's length.
Even when three sexy men are pushing my self-control, I want to keep them safe, but I'm losing the will to say no with each touch or determined gesture. I may need to go in hiding with the few friends I have made over the years, but that would put them in danger, and my primary goal is to keep them safe. That's become increasingly complex with the new threat in the city. A war is coming, and I might not be enough to stop it.
