I think this will appeal to readers who like a historical setting. There are castles, knights, pirates and sword fights and has what I consider a Princess Bride vibe. I would say it has a good amount of fluff and humor, but it isn't shorrt.
The violence is not detailed, torture and assault were in the past, not inflicted on any main characters.
