Unkindness

Ravens mate for life. My kind, too, or at least that’s what I was led to believe.

My life is long—longer than most. My mate died more than a century ago. That means a life of solitude, sí?

Imagine my surprise, then, when not one, not two, but three men come knocking on my door, dead set on mating with me. One is a little too cocky for my taste, one drives me loco in all the wrong ways, and one … well, I’m afraid I’d eat him alive. Add to this a growing instability in my livelihood, and things couldn’t get any more complicated.
