Desperate Lies

From the time I was eight years old, it was always me and my three best friends. My boys: Cody, Asher, and Lincoln. We were inseparable, and the older I got, the more I fell in love with them, until they owned every part of me, heart, body and soul. Until the day their cruel and unforgiving words sent me away. For seven years, I barely survived on their memory, heartbroken and alone. But no more, because I am coming back.

Sure, my heart is still in a million pieces, and every day I struggle to just put one foot in front of the other, but I can’t let them see me crumble.
