Faerie Cursed, Nevermore

Foxfire and dragon's eye. Blooded will against blind obedience. Chance the stroke of lightning at midnight. Dance from death. Believe in the last unicorn.

Confused much? Those are my Marks. Fae lies are still truth. Their crooked tales cast shadows on the light. 

That was the world I had been thrown into, cursed by magic.

I survived before Faerie. Accepted the unchangeable. Dared not to dream. Until the day my Marks ripped the blindfold off. I ran away from them with my eyes finally open. Now I see that all my Faerie Tales have come true, like a wish from my childhood.

This is no falling star. 

The danger in magic is not knowing the cost. I've been poked and pushed. My mother stolen and my brothers nearly lost to Faerie's capricious whims, stings pulled by a mad king puppeteer. The price for me to learn more about myself has been steep. I only hope that it isn't too late to take back what I squandered. 

Let me sing my slumbering power awake. Embrace my Marks. Open my heart to believe in their love I foolishly rejected. Freedom isn't measured in distance. I never needed to be released. Their bonds hold me up.

I am reborn, revealed. Awakened.
