Hakai's Sky: Project Armageddon

With Ta'alo's tribe miles behind them, Celeste and her furry, feline alien male make their way to the border of Aivarian territory. He's got a contact among the birds he insists will be able to help locate her missing crewmates, Jax and Yuri. Will she be forced to acquire yet another mate, or will he want something more in exchange for his help?

Hakai has known Ta'alo since they were both young. Ta'alo saved the proud male from his brothers' claws, and ever since, the two had helped each other in times of need, their relationship a mutually beneficial one. But when Ta'alo shows up on Aivarian lands with a Terran female in tow, Hakai is wary of how much this ask will cost him. 

Celeste ruffles Hakai's feathers at every turn and vice versa, and things only get tenser when an Aivarian patrol drags a weary and roughed up Jax into camp. Torn between her new alien mate, the crewmate she'd harbored feelings for all these years, and a male who'd been ostracized for his colors and his association with her, Celeste is forced to make a decision--leave him to his fate and move on without him, or insist he come with them, forcing yet another male to leave behind his life for her.

Celeste's menagerie is growing, but the males don't seem to mind sharing her. Will there be enough of her to go around, should any more stake a claim on her heart?
