Not So Stupid Cupid

With two degrees, one might consider me intelligent. I am, just not when it comes to men. Case in point: my one-night stand with a sexy fae turned from hot to chilling as I woke and found most of my belongings gone.

See? Stupid.

I knew it was dumb to bring a man I didn’t know to my home for funsies, but I didn’t have time to dwell on my mistake. I was Santa’s ‘chosen one’ this year, assigned to work at the North Pole’s biggest department store during a special promotional game. I had to focus on that, not how hot the cop who showed up to take my statement looked in his uniform. After I successfully tore myself away from Officer Dreamy, my worst day ever continued when I arrived at work to find myself a victim of another crime. This time the bad guy made the sexy fae I’d been with look like the floor of the stables after our Christmas Eve run. Yes, that attractive. And he knew the cop, who somehow came to my “rescue” again.
Knew him. In the intimate sense. They now hated each other, but when they each shot me conspiratorial looks of a lustful nature, I mentally picked out what outfit to wear with my “Stupid Reindeer of the Year” medal I was certain to win for considering either of them. Or both? Together?

Don’t even get me started about the other distraction working next to me: the elf I sometimes hooked up with.

Yup. Stupid.

Things went from bad to worse when we found ourselves locked in with Santa, battling supernatural creatures meant to harm the big guy. With that and three alpha males vying for my attention (and/or each other’s), it probably wasn’t the best time to declare I’d accidentally misplaced the most important item in Santa’s possession.
