Jeslyn Brown is a psychic and hates being touched. Dealing with psychometry isn’t conducive to getting close to anyone physically or emotionally. After a hellish childhood growing up in the system, keeping her distance from people so they didn’t touch her, she was labelled a freak. Dealing with psychometry, a psychic gift or curse, and coping with visions from touch didn’t make for a happy or comfortable childhood. When Storm, Nelson and Bastian Davis, owners of Rescue Ranch, find Jes in her car and realize she’s sick, they take her back to their ranch to take care of her. The men slowly gain her trust and she finally tells them about herself, but instead of getting skepticism from them, they believe her. Jes finally tells the brothers that she’s being hunted by a serial killer and they vow to protect her and keep her safe. But sometimes plans and promises aren’t enough and can’t be kept.
