Basil was born to this world, but she wasn’t raised in it. So, when she’s returned and told she’s to rule it, she rebels. How could she possibly rule a world she doesn’t understand?

When Basil decides to ditch the two men who are her Electus, she knows they’re going to be bitterly disappointed in her. She’s not doing her part to mindlessly fulfill their prophecy. But she’s not some mindless nobody. She was raised to think on her feet and to do things her own way. If her heart tells her she’s not right to rule as the Queen of Elementum, then she needs to listen.

But when she stumbles into the world, she quickly discovers that what she doesn’t know could indeed kill her. That is, until Keen finds her.

She doesn’t know if she will ever have what it takes to be the queen of Elementum. But she knows her rebellious path is going to bring her one step closer, but on her own terms.
