The Omega Lesson

Alphas are built for power, not poetry.

I’m the youngest female teacher at the most prestigious alpha academy in the state.

But I have a secret I’m trying to hide from the world. Through a twist of nature, I’m what’s known as a switch. Most of the time I’m pure alpha, just like my successful dad and older brother. But when I went backpacking over summer break, I was triggered. And now, when I’m under stress, I change my designation.

I switch from a powerful, no-nonsense alpha… to a needy, poetic omega.

I survived my first heat, but now I’m deep in denial. I can’t afford to lose my job, especially because I’m fighting for custody of my four-year-old daughter. And there’s no way I can teach at an all-alpha school when I could switch to omega at… well, the drop of my underwear.

But I manage with meds and meditation. Until the powerful Cliff pack comes to a parent-teacher conference, and I trigger something in the beautiful, moody Jackson Lyall. He’s a secret omega who’s been hiding his true nature since he was a teen.

But five minutes in my presence, and his alpha side comes to the surface.

If I could just walk away, maybe I could keep up the ruse. But I’m already in deep with the youngest member of their pack and now Jackson needs me, too. And when I’m forced to go on a camping trip with their pack, all my careful planning goes up in smoke.

Because I go into an omega heat.
