Mohd went through the ultra-violet light and got trapped seven hundred years in the future!

When Chul gets the rest of us through, my brave warrior badly burns himself. We find Mohd and the tribe, and the doctor is ready to attend to Chul’s wounds. But armed troops take Mohd away in one flying machine, while abducting Arew and me in another.

News of my kind-hearted doctor being crowned king of the galactic empire reaches me and Arew in space-based prison.

Wait. Did you just say a galactic empire and a space-based prison?

That’s right. This future is crazy! There’s space travel between seven solar systems, whereas a secret few can shapeshift, body-snatch, and astral travel at the speed of thought. Oh, yeah, and then there’s time travel, too.

But let me get back to the story. Despite worrying that Chul will die from an infection and Mohd will get intimate with his new wife, this space prison could be a lot worse. I’m glad I’m not alone. Arew and I have a futuristic apartment, facing the gas giant. We have a VR suite, hologram AI for assistance, and instant food from across the seven solar systems. Also, they want us to reproduce and live here as a happy family. There is a catch, though. They want mine and Arew’s DNA to make clones of us which can join their slave force.

So who are they? The rulers of the empire, now ruled by my-Mohd. It’s all part of the prophecy, the chief might say if he were here, too. In my devastation, I get it on with Arew, and he literally glows! There’s phosphorescence in his neural network, and it shines through his skin. He turns into a beast when he’s aroused, too, and that’s enough to keep my mind off the bad things for a while. I know Arew’s been crazy about me since we met, and though it’s hard for him to get his head around me already having his friends, he admits we can feel sad and still do it.

Mohd doesn’t agree with his race ruling the alliance, while enslaving the others. He’s ready to rebel using that secret method of shifting, which I talked about earlier.
